The 7th year of Mustang Week is now in the books. One again, several MOB members headed to Myrtle Beach to help with parking, judging, and other odds & ends. The week was filled with many events including the car show on Friday and the "East Coast's Largest Mustang Cruise-In" on Saturday. This year, Saleen Inc. selected Mustang Week to be the event where they unveiled their new Racecraft brand. This goes to show just how much Mustang Week has grown and has become recognized as one of the mecas for Mustangs.

This year's BPD/MOB Car Show was an overwhelming success. With over 120 cars registered to show or display, this was our biggest and best show yet. When all was said and done, we had raised $3,411.00 for the Burlington Police Department Explorers Program! A huge thanks to Dillards and Alamance Crossing for allowing us to have the show there and to everyone who brought out a car or came to spectate! See you at the 2009 show!!!!!!

On March 22nd, The MOB held a benefit cruise-in at Beef O'Bradys for Candie Dombrowski, the wife of one of our members. Candie is in need of a kidney transplant and all proceeds that we raised were donated to the NTAF South-Atlantic Kidney Transplant Fund in her name. All told, we raised $425.00!! Thanks to everyone who came out to participate and a big thanks to Beef O'Bradys for allowing us to hold the cruise-in at their establishment.

The MOB held it's 3rd Annual Banquet on January 26th. The evening was filled with good food, good music, good times, and, most importantly, great friends. Awards were given out for 2007 Member Of The Year, 2007 Car Of The Year, and the 2007 Founder's Award. As you can see from the image above, John Threatte took home the honors for Car Of The Year with his beautiful 2003 Redfire Cobra Convertible. The Member Of The Year award went to Nadia Pickens and the prestigious Founder's Award was presented to Mark Bailey.
